Colors That Untie the Soul
This is not merely a painting. It is an open "space" that unlocks your heart, inviting a dialogue with your true self.
In 2020, I suddenly began to paint. Rather than actively "creating" an artwork, it was a quiet experience of completely letting go of my thoughts and ego, placing each stroke of color as if in prayer. When I stand before the canvas, my personal intentions are absent. That is exactly why, beyond the vibrant colors filling every corner, a "space for the heart" is born—a space where viewers can freely enter.
A single character is embedded within all my works: 施 (to give). To give is to let love circulate. It is to live together in harmony.
My art touches not only visible colors but the realm of the soul that lies beyond. When standing before the canvas, you might find tears falling for no reason, or feel a heavy burden suddenly lifted from your heart. That is surely the moment you reconnect with the "true light" within yourself.
Now based in Malaysia, I am sharing this cycle of love and light with the world through exhibitions, charity work, and a coloring contest born from this very same philosophy of "space."
For me, filling the canvas with color is a form of prayer. I hope the light delivered through this painting illuminates your heart, and then becomes a light for someone else, continuing an endless chain of love.
To you, who are sharing this moment with me here and now— Thank you. May this light reach you, wherever you are in the world.
