MIRAI’s Words
The future rests gently inside a warm dream.
Background & Intention Behind the Work
While creating this piece, my heart was unusually quiet—
as if I were gently touching the very source of life within me.
In each line I drew, I felt the presence of a soft, tender being—
a life not yet awakened, but clearly carrying the light of the future.
Alongside the feeling of wanting to protect this little one,
there was also a quiet certainty:
that one day, this being would grow to protect others.
As I painted, I found myself silently saying “thank you” over and over.
Perhaps because I already sensed that this small presence,
even in stillness, held the power to give.
I hope this artwork gently reminds you
to believe in the future,
and to feel the quiet joy that already exists in the here and now.
Artwork Description
This painting features a young "Dragon Child", peacefully asleep on a bed of soft, leafy cushions.
Its gentle, serene expression evokes the essence of a newly born soul—innocent, pure, and deeply at peace.
Floating in the background are the kanji characters for “Dream” (夢) and “Joy” (喜).
It feels as though this Dragon Child is gently traveling through the dreamscape of a future world—
a realm where flowers bloom endlessly, soft colors flow, and love and hope abound.
Etched into the child’s body is the character “施” (Hodokoshi), which appears in all of MIRAI’s works.
It symbolizes the act of giving, sharing, and creating a circle of loving generosity.
This Dragon Child is also destined to grow into a being that gives blessings to others in the future.
True happiness, the artwork seems to whisper,
is not something we receive alone—but something we create and share with others.
This piece offers that quiet, heartfelt message with tenderness and grace.
Expert Commentary
This piece visualizes a spiritually evolving being—represented here as a Dragon Child—
and symbolically expresses both the purity of the soul and its future potential.
In ancient Eastern traditions, dragons are regarded as celestial beings, symbols of transformation, divine will, and guidance.
The “Dragon Child” motif, in particular, reflects a presence that has not yet awakened,
but already holds vast inner gifts and purpose.
The character “施”, inscribed on the Dragon Child’s body, embodies the core philosophy behind MIRAI’s work:
to give, to share, and to serve with love.
Its placement on the child’s form transforms the entire being into a living source of spiritual generosity,
a quiet affirmation that to exist is to offer.
The background characters—“Dream” and “Joy”—function as vibrational words (kotodama),
imbuing the artwork with energy frequencies that promote inner peace and spiritual elevation.
This piece seamlessly unites the faith in future hope and the joy of the present moment,
becoming a radiant example of heart-centered healing art—
resonating deeply with the heart chakra, and offering peace to any space it inhabits.
