Finished sheets travel across borders and are woven together — into one collective artwork shared with the world.
A TRUE STORY
The spark that carried this circle out into the world was a single message from Iran. The sender was a mother who teaches drawing to children, with a daughter of twelve.
“In today’s Iran, so full of stress, the time children spend drawing is the greatest, brightest gift.”
Those words pushed us forward, and that same day the circle was opened to the world. It was she who opened the door.

A Japanese word that no other language can quite translate: the quiet awareness that I am here today because of countless people I will never meet. The food on your table, the road you walked, the light in your room — all of it, someone's unseen gift.
Place that gratitude not into words, but into color.
We want to share Japan's beautiful spirit — OKAGESAMA — with the world.
TOWARD 2027
— someone\u2019s real colors, bleeding in —
Colors have now arrived from 16 countries. The circle keeps growing — aiming for 30 countries.
In 2027, the colors drawn with OKAGESAMA become one giant painting.
And after it is complete, the painting will travel — to be exhibited in many places, carrying everyone's colors out into the world.
Theme: “Toward a future radiant with love and joy — OKAGESAMA.” Entries closed on August 8, 2026, and 698 works arrived.
The 5th festival opens in December 2026.

A Peace Artist, working between Japan and Malaysia. MIRAI paints with no pre-planned composition — receiving colors and forms in deep stillness, until the painting reveals itself.
Every original work is inscribed with a single character: 施 (hodokoshi) — to give without seeking anything in return, and to circulate love and joy through the world. This philosophy is where MIRAI no IRO no WA began.
